I called this ride Fritz because it was the first thing that popped into my head. Oftentimes I’m stumped for titles of rides.
This ride goes into Langley as well.
There are a few ways a ride can go. You can start with good legs and finish with good legs. That’s the best scenario. You could start with bad legs and finish with good legs. That’s a good scenario also. Starting with bad legs and finishing with bad legs that’s a drag. The most disappointing scenario is starting with good legs and finishing with bad legs.
If you start out with bad legs and finish with bad legs there’s no expectations of coming out of the saddle for a long sprint or attacking a hill with exuberance. You tend to rationalize this kind of ride as one that happens every once in a while. Good legs, bad legs however, after you've been sprinting and attacking hills and you’re feeling great then your legs come out from underneath you that’s disappointing. I get over it quickly and go into "lets just make it home" mode.
